International Boxing
The year’s biggest boxing event comes to eLife on May the 8th. The World Welterweight championship fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Shane Mosley will be telecast live from Las Vegas. Pacquiao will battle to defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) belt against American challenger and four time world champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley over 12-rounds at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tickets for this fight sold out 3 weeks before the event. Pacquiao is an eight-division world champion and the first boxer in history to win ten world titles. (He is also a Congressman in his native Phillipines!) He is favoured to beat his veteran opponent Mosley who has never been knocked out, however Mosley has home crowd support and the advantage of being the bigger, heavier boxer. Although some say Mosley is past his prime his experience and weight will surely count against the smaller, equally aggressive Pacquiao.
